Summer Heat Waves, or "Where I've Been"

Growls and clatters -
tractor engine plows the damp air, heavy
as if an ocean occupies these hayfields.
A dark day lacks shadows, elicits
reflection from within; the inner voice says simply, "Paint."

  2. I really like some of the softer water-colour nuances...nice...and as a prairie-girl myself, I can smell her hayfields in the summer heat:-)
